True Love.

"True love is born of songs and promises, and the kind of music only two hearts can hear". (Flavia)

This is just one of many favorite quotes about Love that I have written down in my journal of favorite quotes
(yes, I am kind of silly I write down
quotes, songs, poems that resonate with me in my journal books) anyway
just thought I would share.

My sweet hubby has been having a time of it at his job and well he says it is such a comfort for him to know he has me and the kids to love and support him!( he always has that!)it is nice that he shares those feelings and puts it into words for us to hear from time to time. it makes me teary eyed and blessed to have found a wonderful person that I have shared my life with for 26years and continue to learn from and love him more each day.

Christmas Spirit

May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
The gladness of Christmas give you hope,
The warmth of Christmas grant you love.
~Author Unknown

I am full of the holiday spirit! ! Last Friday my work had our annual Christmas lunch where we revealed each others secret santas I ended up with some wonderful Christmas Figurines. Last Saturday I went on an annual shopping trip to the city by the bay ( San Francisco) and had a wonderful time, we arrived at union square and my daughter and niece and myself took the bus down to the pier to hit one of our favorite stores that is going out of business. she bought one thing I bought $ 86.00 dollars worth! my daughter spent some money there as well! then we took the bus back to Union Square and caught up with my eldest nieces did some more shopping I managed to by a few gifts then ( still have to do more gift shopping and less of me shopping!) then we took the charter bus we came on back down to the pier and went to the many shops on and around the pier then we had dinner with two of my older sisters. it was really yummy and we had a wonderful time. then we all piled on the bus and
headed back to home looking forward to next years shopping trip

On Tuesday night I attended my church's ladies annual ornament tea exchange we had wonderful fellowship and great yummy food one of the ladies is an awesome gourmet cook and
made some wonderful looking treats and finger foods one I tried it was not bad but then I found out it was made with Caviar!!! oh well it is good to try different things and now I can say I have tried it but I don't think I will be doing that again!

Next week I am attending another Ornament cookie exchange and at the same time making the final touches on my house decorations and of course gift giving and planning for a special day after Christmas gathering at my house.

I hope the holiday spirit is with all of you

Being honest with ourselves

Lately, I have been going through something inside myself that I can not even describe
I came across this old book I forgot I had and while glancing through it I ended up at this passage which ironically is small part of what I have been feeling.

Our relationship with ourselves is the most important relationship we need to maintain
the quality of that relationship will determine the quality of our other relationships. when we can tell ourselves how we feel and accept our feelings we can tell others.

When we can accept what we want and need we will be ready to have our wants and needs met.
When we can accept what we think and believe and accept what is important to us, we can relay this to others.

When we learn to take ourselves seriously, others will too, When we learn to chuckle at ourselves we will be ready to laugh with others.

When we have learned to trust ourselves, we will have achieved self-love. when we have achieved self-love and accepting our wants and needs, we will be ready to give and receive love.

when we've learned to stand on our own two feet, we're ready to stand next to someone.

" Today I will focus on having a good relationship with myself."

which I have started to do, self acceptance can be a difficult thing if you let it and for quite sometime I have come to the realization that I let the difficult consume me, perhaps not purposely but unconsciously I really kind of did not want to accept things about myself. but since my birthday this past weekend I have kind of awaken to the new things I MUST do and ACCEPT so that I can have a great realtionship with myself. perhaps I am on a soul searching quest. ( one that I know I am not alone in for I know that the good Lord is beside me everyday and every step of the way!)

I have been tagged

seeing how i was tagged I am supposed to post the 6th photo from my s6th folder so this is it! I recall this day My son and Husband and I were in an antique store and we came across this banjo and we bought it for my son he has played it some but it needs to be fixed it is also the same day that later in the evening my husband and I went to our first Keith Urban concert and we had a really great time!!

now the rules of this tag say I am supposed to tag five others but I really don't have anyone to tag ( sorry!)
at least I did part of what was required of me! and it did bring back the memories of a wonderful evening!

Hands

Hands!

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $475 million.
It depends on whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will
Produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.

As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...
It depends whose hands it's in.

This message is now in YOUR hands.

What will YOU do with it?

It Depends on WHOSE Hands it's in!
